Research into education and autism is a vibrant and active area internationally, providing a constant stream of new information for schools and families to consider. The Autism Hub regularly reviews new research reports and publications to ensure relevant findings are shared with schools and families.

The Autism Hub partners with a range of different universities and organisations to provide evidence-based information and advice about education and autism spectrum disorders.

Cooperative Research Centre (CRC) for Living with Autism

This is the world’s first national, cooperative research effort focused on autism. The CRC takes a ‘whole of life’ approach, focusing on diagnosis, education and adult life.

The centre focuses on applied research to help explore issues relevant to the day-to-day lives of individuals with an autism disorder and their families. This research also contributes to the professional practice of educators and mental health practitioners.
