Each Monday and Wednesday afternoon you will discover a hive of activity at the Autism Hub as teenagers with autism from across Brisbane, descend on the popular Autism Queensland Teen Tech Shed.
Autism Queensland's after-school version of Studio G, the Teen Tech Shed, is aimed at younger participants aged between 12-15 years. Based on the success of Studio G, a post-school transition program for young adults with autism, the Teen Tech Shed engages younger participants in game development, animation, short film-making, photography and graphic design.
Participants are mentored by young adults with autism who have previously been involved with Studio G. After two successful programs during 2017, Teen Tech Shed will run two further programs during Term 3 and 4 this year.
Look out for a brand new program just for girls with autism over the September school holidays - Girl's Guide to Ruling the Internet!
