Griffith University researchers have joined with the Autism Hub in an Education Horizon Grant project to improve educational outcomes for Queensland students with autism by extending the capacity of schools to use evidence-supported teaching practices.
Recruitment for Phase One of the research (an online survey) is underway. The survey takes about 10 minutes and asks questions about educational practices, organisational culture, attitudes to evidence supported practices, and access to, and sources of, information about these practices. Information from the survey will be used to advance professional development materials that will be used by teachers in Phases Two and Three of the project.
If you are currently working with a child with autism in your classroom, we encourage you to take the survey.
Any enquiries should be directed to Professor Deb Keen, the principal investigator on the project at d.keen@griffith.edu.au.
