Barbeque question and answer session for dads and grandads

The Autism Hub and South Brisbane Men’s Shed are hosting a BBQ+A event for dads and grandads on Monday 30 April 2018 6.00-7.00pm to celebrate the culmination of Autism Awareness Month.

Modelled on the popular ABC television series 'You can't ask that' which aims to break down stereotypes of people who live with labels, this BBQ+A session at the South Brisbane Men’s Shed gives dads and grandads the opportunity to ask the awkward or uncomfortable questions about autism they've always wanted to know the answers to but have been too afraid to ask.

Our expert panel comprising of two parents of children with autism, a young adult with autism and members of the Autism Hub team will address questions posed by the audience - lodged anonymously or in person.

So, do you have a question about autism that you’ve been too afraid or embarrassed to ask? Are you a father or a grandfather of a child with autism and like standing around the BBQ having a yarn? If you answered yes to either of these questions then why not come and join us for this our inaugural BBQ+A.

To attend register online for a free ticket
